The Story

Who is actually behind CornCraft Knives?

My name is David Korn and I'm 33 years old. I'm excited to introduce you to my knives, which I designed with great attention to detail.

I grew up in a rural region in Hesse. Since childhood, I've been fascinated by knives, and like most knife enthusiasts, I proudly carried a Swiss Army knife with me, which accompanied me on many adventures.

As a student, I discovered my passion for tinkering early on. Studying engineering was a logical step, as I knew it would give me the opportunity to further develop my skills and turn my ideas into reality. During my studies, I often spent hours at my desk, longing for a practical activity that would satisfy my creative side.

During this time, I discovered my love for knife making. In 2014, I took the plunge and built my first knife. From that moment on, I knew I had found my passion. In the years that followed, I devoted myself to designing, manufacturing, and optimizing my own models and designs. These knives were primarily designed for outdoor and bushcraft use.

But since 2016, I've also been designing pocket knives, something my mechanical engineering studies perfectly prepared me for. The combination of creative ideas and technical knowledge allows me to develop unique, high-quality knives.

David Korn aka CornCraft Knives

In 2022, I decided to create my first production pocket knife – the Neutron Star. It's a titanium framelock folder made of S35VN steel. I designed this knife with uncompromising EDC capability, because for me, the best knife is the one you can carry around every day.

It was an exciting project that required a lot of dedication. Thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2023, I was able to successfully finance my project and bring the first serial pocket knife into production.

Now, in my shop, you can purchase not only my first production pocket knife, but also some of my own handcrafted knives. Each knife was crafted with great care and attention to detail to guarantee the highest quality and functionality.

I hope my knives exceed your expectations and bring you as much joy as I did creating them. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Best regards,

David Korn
